France Makes the Plane !

Togliatti (RUS), September 19, 2008: To come or not to come! The French Team was ultimately able to join the Trampoline caravan in Togliatti, after endless red tape.

A package lost in the mail containing the passports of the entire delegation nearly cost the team its trip. The documents were located in the nick of time, though, and it was a happy bunch of trampoliners that bounced aboard the first plane to Russia!

In the end, Coach Frank Bardy and his two protégés, Sébastien Martiny and Grégoire Pennes, arrived in the wee hours of the morning, the day of the first final!

“All’s well that ends well!” confirmed Coach Bardy. “Cancelling the trip would have devastated my gymnasts, who are so motivated and ready to qualify.”
